Hugs for Madison is an organization that promotes autism awareness through advocacy, social events, and fundraisers to enhance autism research for kids and adults living with autism. Our goal is to inspire families to embrace this profound, yet unique disorder, because being different is not a disease.

About
My Name is Kimberly Copeland and I am the proud mother of Madison Copeland. Madison was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the age of two. As a new mother, I constantly read monthly milestones and I noticed Madison was not accomplishing several milestones as months passed. Due to the red flags such as no eye contact, no babbling or crying, delayed crawling and walking, reactive attachment disorder, and loss of words; I knew something was not right!
After Madison’s ASD diagnoses, my life took a drastic (but exciting) U-turn! I began researching, educating, and conducting fundraisers for “Team Madison” through Walk Now for Autism Speaks. Autism Speaks has been a huge resource guide for my journey with raising a daughter with ASD. Therefore, donating funds to Autism Speaks to enhance autism research for kids and adults living with autism, will be a continual obligation.
